Let’s take a look at the major transactions before the opening weekend of the 2022/23 season.
Austin Madronic was the sixth overall pick in the 2022 draft. The Rush offered the rookie a two-year deal in September.
At the other end of the experience spectrum, Dan Lintner also signed a two-year deal in August 2022.
These forwards signed one-year contracts before the start of the new season:

These three defenders signed a one-year deal before the 2022/2023 season:

The Rush had a dance with several players over the Franchise Tag.
They offered the Tag to Kyle Rubisch in July but he declined.
Then they offered it to Chris Corbeil. When Corbeil declined, he entered free agency. Toronto Rock swooped for him in August.
But the Rush were determined to tie down a good player. They placed the tag on Ryan Dilks and then made him captain for the new season.
