This article takes an in-depth look at where the players at Archers Lacrosse Club come from.
Do you know which handful of players went to the same high schools? Which players starred at the same colleges, and who were bitter conference rivals?

Archers And The Tour-Based Model
The Premier Lacrosse League has a tour-based model with all the clubs coming together at weekends to the same venue.
This means that the Archers Lacrosse Club doesn’t have a permanent base to call its home.
But you’d be wrong to think that the coaches don’t care where their players come from. The fastest way to establish a team culture in a young club is to have a core set of players who already know each other.
When the PLL was first set up, there was a clear philosophy about how the teams were formed:
…these teams have been built around players who have played in colleges together or played rivalries against each other…
Divya Goel, May 2019
Players have come and gone since the inaugural season. That can be seen in our lists of Archers Lacrosse Club rosters. However, there is still a club pattern of higher representation from a few colleges and conferences.
Which Colleges Are Archers Players From?
This map shows the sixteen states represented by Archers. Just scan across for the Archers logo!
The current team comes from sixteen NCAA Division 1 colleges across sixteen different states.
Ohio State is the highest represented college with four alumni on the roster.
The University of Virginia has three. Massachusetts, North Carolina, Penn State, Princeton, and Vermont have two apiece.
Ohio State players at the club
Let’s take a closer look at the players from Ohio State. After all, their representation may swing your loyalty if you are a Buckeyes fan.
Dominique Alexander is the oldest of the four. He’s from Baldwin, New York, and graduated from Ohio State back in 2013.
He joined the original Archers roster when the PLL was formed.
Jack Jasinski hails from Birmingham, Alabama, and graduated from Ohio State in 2019. Archers plucked him from the player pool in 2022.
Tre Leclaire and Justin Inacio graduated in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Both are Canadian, with Tre growing up in British Columbia and Justin in Ontario.
Other colleges represented at Archers
These colleges have one player at Archers:
- Bellarmine University
- Brock University
- Brown
- Fairfield University
- Johns Hopkins
- Lindenwood
- Loyola University
- St. Bonaventure
- University At Albany
Former Rivals At Archers
You may be thinking that having four players from Ohio State doesn’t make for a big percentage of the roster that knows each other.
But the Archers have players from Penn State and John Hopkins, with the three colleges being fierce rivals in the Big Ten conference.
Not every player overlapped at college and played against each other. But you can be sure that the younger players were well aware of the former legends from the opposing teams.
Similarly, there are players from North Carolina and the University of Virginia at Archers. Those colleges are rivals in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Hometowns And States
We’ve looked at the colleges, but what about the players’ hometowns?
Although some players attended the same school (we cover this in the next section), none grew up in the same hometown.
About a third of the roster is from the State of New York. But that’s no surprise, given the distribution of lacrosse in the country.
What about the less represented states? Here are the players who are the sole representatives of their state at the club:
- Jack Jasinski from Birmingham, Alabama
- Will Jones from Maitland, Florida
- Scott Ratliff from Atlanta, Georgia
- Jeff Trainor from Billerica, Massachusetts
- Jon Robbins from Plano, Texas
Canadian Players At The Club
There are five Canadian players on the roster.
Tre Leclaire is from British Columbia while these five are from Ontario:
- Brett Dobson from Oshawa
- Latrell Harris from St. Catharines
- Graeme Hossack from Port Perry
- Justin Inacio from Oakville
- Warren Jeffrey from Mimico
Which Players Went To The Same High School?
Two pairs of players went to the same school.
Will Manny and Tom Schreiber attended St Anthony’s in New York.
Will Manny was Attackman of the Year at St Anthony’s. He was team captain and scored forty goals when the school won the NSCHSAA Championship Title.
Tom Schreiber played both lacrosse and football there. The talented quarterback won a championship in football as well as winning the lacrosse title in his senior year.
Incidentally, our separate review of salaries at the club lists both Manny and Schreiber as two of the highest-paid Archers players.
In Canada, Brett Dobson and Justin Inacio went to the same school in Ontario at the same time. They graduated high school in the same year but went on to different universities.
Their school, the Hill Academy, was only founded in 2006. The school specializes in lacrosse and hockey.
